RMU Expands Partnership with Taymar Sales U.
TSU to assist in corporate sponsorship in addition to marketing and ticketing.
MOON TOWNSHIP, PA – The Robert Morris University Department of Athletics announced Monday that it has expanded its relationship with Taymar Sales U. In addition to assisting in marketing and ticket sales, under a new multi-year contract TSU will work with RMU to grow corporate sponsorship revenue.
“RMU Athletics is excited to broaden our business model and partnership with Taymar Sales U.,” RMU Vice President & Director of Athletics Chris King. “It is essential that we maximize sponsorship opportunities and exposure to grow the Robert Morris brand. Taymar’s resources will help take our brand to the next level by engaging new sponsors and expanding our revenue base. We live in a dynamic sports region, and partnering with Taymar positions RMU Athletics to continue to serve our corporate partners and to make new connections in one of the country’s most passionate sports cities.”
Taymar Sales U. has hired Jake Sullivan, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., to serve as director of corporate sponsorships for RMU athletics. Sullivan owns nearly a decade of sales experience in the Pittsburgh market, having served in management roles with PPG Paints Arena and the Pittsburgh Power of the Arena Football League (AFL).
“There is a great natural synergy between ticket sales and corporate sponsorship, and expanding our business model to include sponsorship management is a natural evolution,” said Taymar Sales U. founder & CEO Mark Dyer. “We’re using the same innovative business model in both areas, which includes budget certainty and cost transparency, and makes TSU accountable for producing a return on investment for the school.”
Taymar Sales U. has added a diverse portfolio of full management contracts in the past year, including institutions from the Southeastern Conference (Kentucky, LSU), Sunbelt Conference (Georgia State, Georgia Southern), Southern Conference (Citadel) and the Northeast Conference (Robert Morris).
“Our partnership with Mark Dyer and the entire team at Taymar has created excitement within our fan base, with an immediate impact with our winter sports as our initial revenue goals doubled expectations,” King said. “Taymar has set up RMU Athletics for a successful campaign for the 2020-21 year, as we have high expectations for our revenue generation, marketing and customer service related goals and initiatives.”
